The production works for the seventh season of Game of Thrones recently started. Casting calls are going on and although the series will not be coming back until the next summer, there are many speculations already on the 7th season.

The confrontation between Daenerys Targaryen’s forces and Lannisters, the fate of Samwell Tarly – which was teased to be a very important character for the show from now on – and the future that awaits Cersei are all big question makrs fans are excited about.

Some of the stars just talked at the Emmy Awards vaguely about what might transpire  in season 7. Sophie Turner, who we see as Lady Sansa Stark on the series, stated what she expected from season 7:

“It’s quite sad. It really feels like things are wrapping up and coming to an end… People are hanging around Belfast a bit longer to be around each other and be in each other’s presence… We’ve got one more season…well, not all of us”

Looks like Sophie knows someone will not see season 8. Actor Nikolaj Coster-Waldau, who we know as Jamie Lannister, also stated that characters who have not seen each other for many years will reunite in season 7.

Game of Thrones returns summer 2017, no exact return date was announced yet.
