Pirate Of The Caribbean: The Curse Of The Black Pearl

While the first film of the franchise might not be the highest-grossing out of all the five films, it is still one of the most beloved and highest rating movies from the series. Nothing beats the original as all the adventures of Captain Jack Sparrow started in this movie.

No one thought that a movie with pirates and swashbuckling adventure would work on screen, but it became a massive hit when the movie was released. It performed relatively well in the box office to warrant a sequel – although the sequel was shot almost immediately after the first film wrapped up.

The Curse of the Black Pearl follows our heroes as their lives get intertwined by the mysterious Black Pearl and its crew of pirates.

Filled with swashbuckling action and adventure, the movie felt like one of the most extravagant adventure movies of all time in line with Indiana Jones and other iconic adventure films.

Alice in Wonderland

Alice in Wonderland is a fantasy adventure film by famous director Tim Burton. It follows Alice’s story as she fumbles through the world of Wonderland and becomes the catalyst to bring the White Queen back to her throne.

With the help of some of the quirkiest characters based on the book, Alice can defeat the Jabberwocky, oust the Red Queen, and save Wonderland all at the same time.

Critics praised the visual style of the movie and the costume, and the movie grossed over $1.025 billion in sales all over the world. The movie also scored several nominations and won Best Art Direction and Best Costume Design awards at the Oscars.

The Incredibles 2

The Incredibles 2 is an action-adventure animated film and is the second movie in the franchise. The movie follows the superpowered Parr family’s story as they try to bring back the public’s trust in superheroes while also dealing with a new member of their family.

With its heavy focus on family dynamics aside from the movie’s superhero aspect, The Incredibles 2 felt more personal, which made the film very relatable.

This meant that the movie became one of the highest-grossing animated films earning up to $1.2 billion worldwide. The movie scored nominations and awards for its animation and musical score.

The highly-anticipated sequel to the first The Incredibles movie was highly worth the wait as the adventure film truly delivered on its themes of family, love, fun, and adventure.

The Jungle Book

The Jungle Book was a direct live-action adaptation of the 1967 animated film. The movie follows almost the same plot as the animated film where Mowgli journeys through the jungle alongside his animal friends as he begins to realize his place within the jungle while also surviving the attempts of Shere Khan, a Bengal tiger who wants to kill him for his hatred against humans.

From death-defying stunts to chase scenes across India’s jungles, The Jungle Book is an exhilarating action-adventure coming-of-age film that centers around a little boy.

The movie features motion-capture performances from actors like Christopher Walken, Idris Elba, Ben Kingsley, Bill Murray, and Scarlett Johansson. The movie became the fifth highest-grossing film of that year and was generally well-received from fans.

Critics praised the visual effects as well as the performance of its young lead actor. The movie grossed just below a billion dollars worldwide, and a sequel is already in development.
