Supergirl’s World to Be Kept Separate

As many of you know, Supergirl made a move from CBS to The CW after its first season and its The CW premiere is next week. The show joined The CW’s roster of superhero series as The Flash, Arrow and Legends of Tomorrow.

The stories in the comic books are connected but Supergirl actually exists in a different Earth than the other shows. Last season Supergirl and Flash met but it only happened since Flash travelled to her universe. This crossover caused the fans to wonder about if Supergirl might somehow – through the help of the Flashpoint events – merge with Arrowverse.

The series’ executive Andrew Kreisberg finally answered that question saying “ any kind of shift in time and space will happen not for her entire world, but Kara will be traveling from her dimension to our dimension, ‘our’ being the world that The Flash, Arrow, and Legends lives in.”. So, Supergirl will be the one travelling to the Arrowverse but no merging will happen.

This means The CW did not want to change the show completely and although crossovers will happen, Supergirl will not be a readily available partner for The CW’s other TV series.
