Jared Leto to Play Andy Warhol in His Biopic

Some of the comic book fans may not have liked Jared Leto’s portrayal of The Joker in Suicide Squad movie (partly owing to Heath Ledger’s greatness, yes, “still”), however, Leto is an all-round, critically acclaimed actor and he has no problem playing diverse roles.

According to THR, Jared Leto will now play Andy Warhol, the pop art icon who died in 1987. The movie will be a biopic of the artis and it is going to be titled Warhol. Terence Winter, the showrunner of Boardwalk Empire and the screenwriter of The Wolf of Wall Street  will be writing the script and Michael De Luca will produce the movie. Victor Bockris’ book named Warhol: The Biography will be used as the source material. As of now, there is no information revealed about the casting or the director of the movie, except Leto. With this movie, Warhol, Leto will be acting as someone who died of a diseas related to AIDS. If you will remember, Jared Leto won an Oscar last time he played such a character ( Dallas Buyers Club).
