Jamie Dornan to Star in Robin Hood: Origins

Robin Hood’s story has been adapted to the big screen many times until now. The last effort was with Russell Crowe leading and Ridley Scott directing the 2010 movie. This was not a reason for Lionsgate to avoid Robin Hood: Origins. This project is not in pre-production stage and it will be directed by Otto Bathurst.

Taron Egerton was cast for the lead role while Jamie Foxx was cast as Little John and Eve Hewson was cast Maid Marion. Now another big name is joining the cast: Fifty Shades of Grey’s Jamie Dornan is rumored to be cast for Will Scarlet, one of the men in Robin Hood’s crew. Will Scarlet’s character change with every different verison of the story, however, in the movie Jamie Dornan’s Will Scarlet will be the husband of Maid Marion who gets jealous after seeing what his wife thinks about Robin Hood.

This here, now, is a chance for Jamie Dornan to prove that he can exist as an actor outside Fifty Shades of Grey although he does a pretty good job as psychopatic killer Paul Spector in the TV series titled The Fall with Gillian Anderson.
