Ulbricht, aka “Dread Pirate Roberts,” developed the online marketplace and was sentenced to life in prison without parole. In 2015, a documentary titled  Deep Web (directed by former Bill & Ted star Alex Winter) was released about the story of Ross William Ulbricht and Silk Road but these two are two different things.
