As we all know there is still some good amount of time until we see Jason Momoa as Aquaman in his own solo movie to be directed by James Wan. There character has already been introduced to the DCEU though. Aquaman appeared in Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice for the first time but he will be playing a much larger role in Justice League. There is more about Atlantians in Justice League: it turns out Arthur Curry’s queen and one true love, Mera (to be played by Amber Heard), will also appear in the movie. As another addition from Atlantis is Vulko (Willem Dafoe) Curry’s trusted advisor.
No one saw these new Atlantians in the filming yet, however, Dafoe and Amber Heard were seen in the location of filming, Iceland.
IGN has just released the first official look of Amber Heard as the Queen of Atlantis. The shot above is taken by Zack Snyder himself. It is not known how large of a role Amber Heard will play in the movie but it sure is cool to see Mera in costume for the first time.
