Roadies Cancelled by Showtime

ADVERTISING

The world of TV might be hurtful sometimes for some series. You can have everything but if you do not have enough social media buzz or good ratings you will be cancelled. This is what happend to Roadies, Showtime dramedy about a traveling rock show crew. It will not have a second season.

Roadies was Cameron Crowe’s (Almost Famous, Jerry Maguire, Say Anything) work as the creator in cooperation with J.J. Abrams and Winnie Holzman. The show had a solid cast including Luke Wilson, Carla Gugino and Imogen Poots. Crowe just wrote on his blog that the show was cancelled and thanked everyone involved.

Thanks to Showtime and J.J. Abrams for the opportunity to make the one and only season of “Roadies.” My mind is still spinning from the giddy highs of working with this epic cast and crew. Though we could tell a thousand more stories, this run ends with a complete ten-hour tale of music and love.

The show was a pretty good one indeed but sometimes it just does not happen. Follow us on social media to keep updated about your favorite TV shows.
