Jeremy Renner’s Historical TV Show Knightfall Might Be Slightly Delayed

If you have not heard about it by now, you should really look into it; Avengers star Jeremy Renner is producing a historical drama for History Channel. The show will be focused on the last times of the Knights Templar in the 14th century and will premiere through the end of 2016 with an initial order of ten episodes. Knightfall will be the first attempt by History Channel at a drama with an original script afterVikings. However, the start of the show might be delayed due to some events that occured on the set.

Some parts of the show have been being filmed in Europe, particularly Prague when a fire broke out on the set that might have caused significant damage to the location of the filming. This might cause some delay on the premiere date of Knightfall. The damage only affected the exterior parts of the set and no injuries occured.

In addition to being an executive producer for the show, Jeremy Renner will also guest star in the show.

Due to its storyline that will focus on the warriors of the Knights Templar during the Crusades, a lot of the filming for the show will have to be made outdoors. The show is expected to cover many details regarding the secrets of the Knights Templar and the bond between the knights.

Downtown Abbey’s Tom Cullen will play the role of a veteran Crusade who will lead the warriors of Knights Templar on a quest to find the Holy Grail.
