Devious Maids Cancelled by Lifetime

Bad news for the fans of Devious Maids. It looks like there is not going to be a fifth season for the TV series. Lifetime just announced they cancelled Devious Maids.

The soapy drama was created by Marc Cherry (Desperate Houseviews) and produced by actress Eva Longoria and focused on the lives of some Latina maids working for the rich people of Beverly Hills. It was developed for ABC at first then was transferred to Lifetime when ABC decided to pass on it.

If you are a fan, you’ll remeber that the shoıw actually had a pretty good debut, premiering with some solid ratings for Lifetime. However, the rating  for adults aged between 18 and 49 was reported to be only 0.3 (less than 900,000 viewers) for the fourth season’s finale – which now became the series finale.

 

Devious Maids was actually one of Lifetime’s two original series with UnRealUnReal started really well şn the first season while going down with season 2 although still being renewed by the network early this summer.
