The Crow Remake Starring Jason Momoa to Begin Filming

The first reboot news about 1994 film the Crow by Alex Proyas broke about 8 years ago. It was said Stephen Norrington, the director of The League of Extraordinary Gentlemen and Blade would write the script for and direct the movie, but it did not happen. The movie had to change a lot of actors and directors since then.

For the lead role many actors such as Bradley Cooper, Mark Wahlberg, James McAvoy, Tom Hiddleston,  Luke Evans,  Norman Reedus and Jack Huston were rumored. The latest actor added to the list is Jason Momoa (Aquaman, Game of Thrones and Stargate Atlantis).

According to The WrapThe Crow remake will start production in January 2017, Colin Hardy will be directing the movie with Momoa as the protagonist. . However, an Instagram post from Momoa hinted otherwise back in August.

The remake of The Crow  will follow the original story of Eric Draven, the murder victim coming back from death to avenge his and his fiancee’s deaths. The good thing is the remake of the movie will be closer to the comic book material created by O’Barr.

Since it has been so long that the movie’s produciton was up in the air, there are a lot of doubts regarding its fate and possible success, however, Jason Momoa is an international star that might bring a lot to the table. Fingers crossed for Khal Drogo here!
