Viola Davis Joins Steve McQueen’s New Movie: Widows

 

If you do not remember him when we say Steve McQueen12 Years a Slave will help you do that. His biographical drama won two Oscars for Best ADapted Screenplay and Best Picture in 2013. Viola Davis is also a talented actress who was nominated for Oscars and who won an Emmy Award for her role in How to Get Away With Murder.

It was inevitable and is no surprise that these two want to work together given the talented nature of both. In fact, the latest rumors suggest that McQueen and Davis will actually cooperate in McQueen’s new movie; Widows.

THR reports that McQueen will be directing a movie adaptation of British TV series of 80s named Widows. Davis will be one of the lead stars. The movie will be focusing on four widows who tried to to an attempted robbery ending in the deaths of their husbands. Script will be written by the author/screenwriter of Gone Girl, Gillian Flynn.
