Netflix Grabs the New Duncan Jones Movie: Mute

If you are a gamer you will know about Warcraft games and you probably watched Warcraft movie this summer. The movie got some mixed reactions from the fans, some loved it some did not think it was not worth their time. Duncan Jones was the director behind that movie.

Jones has become a little more popular with the movie and now he has got his hands full with a passion project of his; a sci-fi movie named Mute. The movie focuses on Leo Bailer a mute bartender tracking down his girlfriend who went missing. Alexander Skarsgård will play Leo Beiler and Paul Rudd will play a surgeon who has a clue about where Leo’s girlfriend might be. Different from Jones’ other movies, Mute will be broadcast by Netflix.

Skarsgård gave the news during an interview on the Empire podcast. The actor gave a statement about the film and the character he will play:

“I’ve just got back from Dublin where Duncan showed me all the renderings and the visuals of it. And I’m very, very excited about it… It’s about a guy who was in an accident as a kid. He’s ex-Amish, so he lives a very monastic life: he doesn’t have a cellphone or anything like that. He’s left the [Amish] community but he still kinda follows the rules.”
