Gwen Stefani Replaces Miley Cyrus in The Voice

NBC just announced that the pop diva Miley Cyrus will be replaced by Gwen Stefani for the next cycle of The Voice. This will be Stefani’s third tour as a coach for the singing competition/TV program.

Gwen Stefani will be joined by her boyfriend Blake Shelton, Adam Levine of Maroon 5 and Alicia Keys as coaches while Carson Daly will also return as the host.

This does not mean bad news for Cyrus, though, as she will be back for the next season, the 13th season which will start in the next fall. Rest of season 13’s coaches will be revealed later.

NBC Entertainment reality department’s boss Paul Telegdy made the following statement:

We can’t wait to experience the unique chemistry and energy Gwen, Alicia, Blake and Adam will bring to season 12. With Miley returning for season 13, we’re truly ecstatic about the unmatched musical know-how and talent coming together in our coming seasons.
